Most of us know at least one person that is on an entrepreneurial path, sometimes their products or services can be out of our budgets or it’s something you just don’t need. That doesn’t mean you are being unsupportive, you can still show your support with the list below. Keep in mind this can be applied across all social media platforms.

  1. Share their content to your stories, directly DM to your friends this even helps increase engagement for them and helps make their page more visible to complete strangers.

  2. Engage with their content, like, comment, subscribe, follow etc. (make your comments more than just emojis, they hold more weight)

  3. Retweets, a like is nice on Twitter, but a retweet goes further. It adds more of a co-sign than just a like.

  4. Word of mouth, know someone that could benefit from your family or friends business, tell people about it directly.

  5. In the event they gifted or discounted something for you, create some original content, a story, tweet, photo, etc. You don’t have to go all out and pull out all the lights and cameras, but just something quick and easy. It goes a long way.

  6. A social shout out, shout out the owner directly and say something nice about them on your social platforms.

  7. Have a podcast, blog, vlog etc. give them a little shout out in that if you can make it fit in there. In my opinion, we should never be too good to support our friends and family, it will only come back to us 10 times greater.

  8. Are they artists, put them in your playlists, play their music around other people, use their music in your stories, vlogs etc.

Social media shuns a lot of business accounts because they want people to spend money on ads. On Facebook, people that actually like your page don’t even see your content for the most part because you have to boost aka pay to have your post shown to people that ALREADY follow you. So, yes doing anyone of the things in the list above, goes a very long way for small business owners.

Okay, that’s it and none of this costs you a dime, so get to it! 😆
