How To Get A Domain E-mail for $6/mo. With Google

Recently I have had to walk clients through downgrading their Google Workspace (Admin Console) accounts because they were overpaying for their domain emails. Google has gotten a little sneaky and defaults everyone to a higher tear subscription of $12/mo. and they hide the cheaper $6/mo. option, so then people assume they are paying the least they can pay. What you need to do when signing up. Choose the $12/mo. option and then once your account is created, go into your Admin Console to downgrade. You will save ~50%, but keep in mind you lose a few features, but majority of people using Google Workspace for an email do not need the upgrades that come with the $12 plan. All of my clients thus far have been completely fine with the $6 plan. I did notice when writing this, they charge ~$1 more if you pay monthly vs yearly. This was news to me as I am grandfathered into their 10 free emails per domain. Something they used to offer way back when I was in college. Hope this below steps help you guys save a few buxx 🤑.

Click on “mannage”.

Click on “add or upgrade a subscription”.

Choose the “Google Workspace Business Starter” plan. FYI, the strike through price is monthly, the green price is you pay annually.
