For all of my self employed readers, Wave is going to be your best friend when staying organized with outstanding invoices and expenses. Wave works best from the web, but the their apps still get the job done when you’re on the go.

Key Features:

  • Always free to use for accounting, invoicing, receipts, and automations

  • Send automatic monthly invoices

  • Record partial payments

  • Set due date alerts

  • Email invoices directly from Wave

  • Upload receipts to keep track of expenses

  • Charts to see trends of income, expenses, bills you owe etc.

  • You can take credit card payments with the paid version (I don’t pay for Wave, I just have a note at the end of my invoices with different payment options)

  • They offer bank payment options and even payroll with their paid tiers

Below is a look at all of the pricing tiers Wave has to offer.

Side note: I prefer Wave over Honeybook because there is no monthly cost associated with Wave. I can stay on the free plan forever, if I want to. One day Honeybook may be worth it for me, but right now, Wave is perfect and most likely will be perfect for most of you as well. Plus their Pay-Per-Use is a much better motto than a monthly payment regardless of it you use the platform or not. Other platforms charge a monthly fee and a fee for each transaction.
