Aria Resort & Casino

I went to Las Vegas for my sisters 21st birthday and here is my experience and what we did. Starting off with where we stayed, Aria, a part of the MGM Resorts. The check-in process was as expected, pretty quick and easy. They have great signage to get to the elevators and other parts of the resort. I loved the fact that all of the restaurants we wanted to eat at were inside of the Aria. There was even a Starbucks and Pressed Juice. Pro tip, order your Starbucks through the Starbucks app because that line in the morning is LOOOONG! I didn’t make it to the pool area, nor did I get a chance to check out the Aria Express train. The rooms were nice and spacious, especially the one King room, it had more room than the two Queens room. Their beds were comfortable and overall the customer service was pleasant. The only hiccup was with room services, the both times I ordered my order was slightly wrong. They resolved the situation by comping all of my room service and giving me a $150 credit.

Few things to keep in mind, there is a $9.99 charge if you want your room services delivered, there is no charge if you go down and pick up your order. Do NOT lift the Fiji water in the room, its $24.99 a bottle, that exact same bottle ordered to the room is $10. We learned this the hard way, so learn from my mistake. My other “complaint” would be the strip view, we paid extra for guaranteed strip view on both rooms, but to me it wasn’t even worth it. You see the strip in the distance because the hotel lobby entrance is so massive that majority of your view is of the lobby roof. If you’re looking to save a little on your room at the Aria, I would opt for skipping the guaranteed strip view.

This is the “guaranteed strip view” with no zoom.

Day 1:

This day was a nightmare, due to the fact there was a protest by LAX. We missed our flight and it was a 3 hour process to get back home to get on a later flight. We didn’t end up checking into our hotel until after 1am, literally just ordered room service, cut cake and went to bed. Missed the 12am dinner at Delilah :(.

Day 2:

  • We started the day at the Wynn to shop a little.

  • Went and ate at “Stuff My Turkey”, the entire experience from the service to the food was really great.

  • Dinner was at Carbone. I really thought this was going to be all hype, I was proven wrong. Everything is meant to be shared family style, our server made amazing suggestions. My favorite dish was the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka. Our server did half a portion for each person which was pre-plated. I would get just that next time all to my self 😬. If you want to try Carbone, plan ahead. They only take bookings 30 days out and the tables go quick!

  • After dinner we took naps, showered, relaxed to each their own and then met up again around 11:30/12am to head to Drai’s to see Big Sean perform.

Day 3:

  • We started off by eating a Javier’s, an old faithful and then walked cross to The Crystal, worked our way down the strip as we shopped and drank along the way.

  • Got back to Aria in time for Dinner at Catch. Same thing as Carbone here for the reservations.

  • After dinner, I went to relax because I was exhausted while half the crew went to old Vegas.

  • I met up with everyone at Delilah for drinks and just hung out, got chicken strips and fries to go. The worlds most expensive chicken strips and fries, two orders at a total of $117 USD. However, they were the best chicken strips I have ever had in my life. Highly recommend trying them.

Day 4:

  • Checkout day, this is when I discovered the $24 Fiji lol.

  • We left our bags with the bell desk as we went to go eat and do some last minute shopping.

  • Came back to Aria and got our luggage and headed to the airport.

  • The cab situation to the airport was weird. We got charged a flat rate to the first airline, but then from my airline drop-off point to the next point where the rest of my family was going to get dropped off there was an additional regular meter charge. Just something to keep in mind, so you aren’t surprised.

All in all, I would definitely recommend choosing Aria as your choice of hotel when in Vegas. You can’t beat the convenience of a lot of great restaurant options in there. If anything was to go wrong, they are very quick to correct it. I loved that they have an app where you are able to do a lot of things related to your room and activties, even speak with concierge.

Are you looking to hit Vegas soon? If so, have me book your trip for you or do it yourself here.
