How I Got A $6,100 All-Inclusive Vacation for $4,200

If you're here, you probably seen a social media post from me about getting an all-inclusive vacation that was $6,100 without flights for $4,700 with flights included. I was able to get this price because I am a home based travel agent (advisor) that get discounts to visit different resorts around the world. I will go over the how to breakdown and how you can take advantage of these prices are well.

As a travel advisor I get special pricing at resorts that offer discounts to people like me. My last trip was to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I stayed at the Breathless resort and they offer discounts to travel advisors. When I went to their website the advertised price for the Xhale Club Suite Kind Marina View room was $6100 USD for two people. I called and requested a travel agent rate, all I had to do was provide my IATA number and I got a quote for $5200 USD for two people. Not a huge discount, but still a discount. Honestly, this chain of hotel collections has reduced their discounted rates since they switched from AMR Collection to Inclusive-Collection which is a part of World of Hyatt. Prior to the buyout the discounts were insane, it almost felt like stealing lol. Anyways, I was determined to find a better deal and when I seen the per night price, I noticed earlier in the week was cheaper vs Thursday and onward. I switched the dates to include more weekdays and the price for travel agents dropped down to $4200 USD for two people and flights were cheaper. If you have the luxury of being flexible with your dates, do it, to get the better deal.

The grand total for the entire trip was $4758.06 USD for two people. We saved $2000 by just utilizing my IATA number. Now if you’re still here, you’re probably wondering how can you take advantage of these discounts. Yes, discounts are offered worldwide, the discount is not a right, it’s a privilege, so not all hotels/resorts will offer discounts. However, do not worry, you can still earn money from your stays if a discount is not offered. To me that’s still a win.

For those of you thinking what is the catch, the only catch is a one time initiation fee of $179.99 and a monthly $39 fee to maintain your independent travel agent status, but for those that take more than one trip a year, it is worth it! Even with just this one trip I took, if you calculate the fee for a year, you still would have saved over $1500 on this trip.
